1 No. plant room floor located above 2 No. hospital theatres and sized at approximately 12.5m x 13.5m. The floor had previously been coated with felt and asphalt which had failed allowing water/contaminants to ingress between the substrate and the asphalt, causing it to ‘pop’ and de-bond in numerous areas with the risk of water leaking into the operating theatres below.

The Trust required a long term, easily maintained flooring solution that was impervious to water and chemicals. COVAC prepared/repaired the concrete floor and applied our concrete sealing system to the plant room floor. A 10 year guarantee was issued to the Trust with an option to extend the guarantee after 10 years.
